Announcing our winning photos for 2017 - congratulations to (1st place) Brett Hurley (FABI), (2nd place) David Hockly (ICFR)& (3rd place) Izette Greyling (FABI).

Brett's beautiful winning photo is entitled "Megarhyssa nortoni - enemy of my enemy".

The top 14 photos chosen by our judges will be used in the 2018 SAIF Calendar which will reach members early in January. We will also feature these in other SAIF media so watch this space.

Thank-you to all who submitted photos - this year's entries were our best ever.

Forestry South Africa (FSA) has released the third version of its Environmental Management Guidelines for Commercial Forestry Plantations in South Africa in an electronic format which can be found on the FSA website (forestry.co.za)

The objective is to provide updated guidelines for the management of plantation forestry in order to minimise the impacts of operations on the physical environment.
