The SAIF, in conjunction with William C Teie, published the 2nd edition of the Fire Managers Handbook on Veld and Forest Fires in 2009. Tiaan Pool of Nelson Mandela University (former Saasveld) edited the Handbook.
The Handbook offers the user a thorough understanding of the numerous complicated principles and procedures to ensure safe and effective forest fire fighting.
